I purchased a prebuilt computer from iBUYPOWER in 2022, and it's been running slowly lately. Initially, it was fine, but now I struggle to open any websites; however, games still perform well. Downloading and searching on the computer has become painfully slow, even though my laptop runs smoothly on the same internet connection. I need help troubleshooting this issue. Here are my specs:
- **GPU**: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
- **RAM**: 16 GB
- **CPU**: 12th Gen Intel Core i7 12700KF
- **Operating System**: Windows 11
- **Storage**: 150 GB free out of 779 GB
- **Internet Download Speed**: 20 mbps
- **Internet Upload Speed**: 18.4 mbps
Let me know if you need more details! Thanks!

Have you tried using a Linux LiveUSB to see if the issue persists? Also, check the SMART parameters of your drive to see if there are any warnings.
How are you connected to the internet? Is it Ethernet or WiFi? If you’re on WiFi, make sure the antenna is correctly hooked up to your motherboard.
Those internet speeds seem pretty low—like mid 2000s levels. You should double-check your laptop to see if it runs faster, but if it’s the same, it might be an issue with your ISP. I mean, I live in the woods too, and it can be tough.
It might help to clear your browser's cookies and cache. You can do this by pressing Ctrl + Shift + Del if you're using Chrome.
I’m on Ethernet.
