My New PC Is Slow to Boot and Has Odd Issues, Any Advice?

I recently built my first PC and everything went well during the build process, following a YouTube guide and doing my research. However, I've run into some strange boot issues. When I hit the power button, the fans and RGB lights turn on, but the white front panel LEDs stay off. The fans seem to be spinning faster than normal and make a lot of noise. After about 30-60 seconds, the fans slow down, a video signal is received, and the computer boots. Sometimes, it skips the BIOS prompt and goes directly to Windows, with the power button LED flashing, which I assume is indicating motherboard status. I notice about 15 quick flashes before anything shows on the screen.

Once I reach Windows, everything operates normally but my keyboard randomly disconnects and reconnects. I've tried various troubleshooting steps like launching with default settings, disabling fast boot, and updating the BIOS, and I've triple-checked all internal connections.

My build includes a Ryzen 7500F processor, which I've heard can cause long POST times, but the inconsistency in boot times and frequent BIOS skipping makes me think there's a deeper issue. I really want to tackle this before something serious goes wrong. By the way, my motherboard is an Asus B650M-R and the GPU is an RX6800. Any suggestions?

Sounds frustrating! I think the behavior you’re seeing with the keyboard and the ethernet lights might be related to Windows power settings. Sometimes, shutting down doesn’t fully disconnect power but puts the computer in Hibernate mode instead. This can cause strange behavior like what you're experiencing. Have you checked your power settings to ensure it’s fully shutting down?

That’s a great point! Also, regarding the fans running at high RPM, that’s most likely just a safety feature to prevent overheating. It seems normal, but the boot inconsistencies are definitely worth looking into.
