I just built my first PC, and I'm having a frustrating issue with my monitor. It's a brand new MSI MAG 275QF, but it keeps displaying "HDMI 1 no signal." I only have a DisplayPort cable available and no HDMI cable—do I need one for this setup? I've made sure that both the DisplayPort on the monitor and the graphics card are connected properly. I recently learned about the joystick button on the back of the monitor for navigating the menu. I've read the quick guide and followed the steps to set things up. I managed to turn off my computer, connect the cable from the monitor to the PC, assemble the power adapter and cord, plug everything in, and turn on the monitor. However, I can't access the OSD menu to select the input source because I can't get past the no signal screen. There are no extra buttons on the front or back of the monitor, and I've rebooted it several times. Unfortunately, none of the YouTube tutorials seem to help since they all start with Windows running. Any advice?

You shouldn't need an HDMI cable for your setup if you’re using DisplayPort. First, double-check the DisplayPort cable connection—make sure it's really snug on both ends. If possible, try testing the cable with another setup to see if it's working correctly. It might also help to see if you can borrow your brother's monitor to rule out any issues with your graphics card.
I don't have a spare monitor at hand, but my brother has one. I’ll have to wait until he gets back from work to see if I can try it out. I don't want to mess with his setup without asking.
