My New PC Won’t Boot – Need Help!

Hey everyone! I'm in a bit of a bind with my new PC build - it's not booting up correctly. When I power it on, the motherboard lights up, and both the boot light and VGA light are on, but I can't get any display on my monitor. Here are my specs:

- **Motherboard:** Tuf Gaming B550-Plus Wifi II
- **CPU:** Ryzen 5 5600
- **CPU Cooler:** Thermalright aqua elite 240 V3
- **GPU:** Gigabyte GTX 1070 mini ITX OC
- **RAM:** 2x8gb Corsair Vengeance LPX
- **SSD:** Lexar NS100 2.5" SATA

I've got a new monitor and I'm using a new HDMI cable. The GPU fan spins, and my monitor acknowledges the HDMI connection, but still, no display. I've already tried resetting the CMOS battery and booting with just the CPU, cooler, GPU, and one stick of RAM in the A2 slot. Any ideas or suggestions on what I can do next?

It sounds like you're on the right track with troubleshooting! First, ensure your GTX 1070 is securely seated in the PCIe slot and that all necessary power cables are connected - just spinning fans isn't enough. If you can, try using a different output from the GPU, like a DisplayPort. Also, check if your monitor is set to the correct input instead of leaving it on auto. Lastly, it might be worth checking your motherboard's BIOS version. Sometimes, B550 boards come with older BIOS that might not fully support certain CPUs right out of the box; consider updating the BIOS if that’s the case.

Also, make sure the HDMI cable is plugged into the GPU instead of the motherboard, if you're using a dedicated graphics card. It's a simple mistake that can happen! But if you've confirmed this and there’s still no display, updating the BIOS might be a good next step.
