Hey everyone! I recently built my own PC with a mix of new and donated parts, and I'm facing a pretty frustrating issue. Whenever I play a game and it crashes, my entire PC freezes up. The only way to get it working again is to hold the power button to restart. I'm running Windows 11, and I'm not sure what's causing this.
Here's a quick rundown of my specs for reference:
- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800XT 8-core 3.8GHz
- Motherboard: GIGABYTE B550M DS3H AC
- RAM: G.SKILL Trident Z RGB, 64GB (2x32GB) 3600MT/s
- CPU Cooler: Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE
- Power Supply: Corsair RMx Series RM650x 80PLUS Gold
- SSD: Samsung 990 EVO Plus SSD 2TB
The crashes mostly happen when I'm playing Schedule I, although I've had issues with VoidTrain too. Any suggestions or ideas on what might be going wrong? Thanks in advance! 😊

Have you tried running a benchmark test before jumping into games? It's a good way to check if your system can handle the load. Sometimes undetected issues can cause crashes during gameplay.
I had a similar issue on my new build. After rebooting, I tried opening a browser to see if it crashed there too. If it doesn't, that might point to game-specific issues rather than hardware. Just a thought!
Nope, it works fine in the browser after rebooting. Just the games are a problem.

No, I haven't done that. Honestly, I'm not even playing super demanding games. Schedule I has been a nightmare lately.
