I've been using my PC for about three years without any issues. But today, after a few restarts while trying to fix some glitches with the new Resident Evil game, everything went haywire. It seems like I've lost access to about half of my files, and I've been logged out of all my accounts. Many programs refuse to load properly, and I'm stuck with default Windows 11 settings. My files are all jumbled up, and restarting doesn't seem to help at all. Restarting has made things change again, with some problems fixed, but many still remain. I really need some guidance on how to fix this!

It sounds like you might have logged into a temporary account, which can happen sometimes. You can check in the C:Users directory to see if that's the case; temporary accounts usually aren't deleted automatically. If it happens again, this is a good place to look first!
This could be a Windows corruption issue. The OS keeps track of files in an index, and if that becomes corrupted, it might struggle to find files or could misplace them. I recommend trying the System File Checker and Deployment Image Servicing tools to see if they can fix it. Check out the Microsoft support page for guidance on those tools. Just a heads up, though: it’s smart to back up your documents before trying fixes, just in case!
But the Windows scan says my files are okay! Should I still consider a reinstall?

How can I switch back to my main account? Some of my settings still feel off from what I had.
