Will My PC Specs Work Well with AutoCAD?

I recently purchased a PC for about 11,000 Filipino pesos, and I'm feeling a bit anxious about its performance for AutoCAD. Here's what I got: CPU - i5 14400, RAM - 16GB DDR4 at 3200 Mt/s, SSD - 256GB NVMe M.2, MOBO - MSI Pro A610M-E, and an integrated GPU - UHD 730. I'm not very hardware savvy, and a friend suggested I might have been scammed. Can this setup handle AutoCAD effectively? Also, I'm curious about what additional GPU I should consider, as I'm worried about the power supply unit (PSU) as well. I know it's an unrated local brand, which makes me a bit nervous. Any advice on this would be appreciated!

Not a bad deal at all, especially for a 14th gen i5, a motherboard, and 16GB of RAM at that price. For AutoCAD, a dedicated graphics card will definitely help, so start thinking about your budget. If you’re looking at around 18,000 pesos later, that should give you some decent options. Local stores can have good deals, so don't hesitate to check them out! And if you’re shy about talking to the staff, maybe bring along a friend for support.

Thanks for the encouragement! I’m really relying on my scholarship money, but that should be enough to get something decent. Hopefully, it helps me feel less nervous about buying parts!

Honestly, you got a pretty solid deal for that price! The i5 14400 and 16GB of RAM should handle AutoCAD just fine. I recommend getting a GPU for better performance, especially if you plan to work on more complex models. If you can swing around 200 USD, a used GTX 1650 or 1660 would be a fantastic choice. Autodesk suggests that even a card with 2GB is enough to get started, so you'll be good either way! Just try it out and see how it performs before making any decisions.
