Hey everyone, I'm having some strange issues with my PC lately. I've got an i7-14700f, and it typically runs like a champ. However, I've noticed a significant drop in FPS while gaming, particularly in Counter Strike 2 where my FPS used to hover around 600 but now it's down to 240 and sometimes even dips to 110. On Roblox, my FPS used to be between 900 and 1.1k, but now it's closer to 600 and also drops below 100 randomly. I'm starting to wonder if my CPU might be on its way out. My CPU temp is stable at about 45 degrees. I'm also running an RTX 4070 Super on a WiFi Bulk B760 motherboard with liquid cooling and six fans. It's been running smoothly for almost a year without any issues until now. Should I be looking into getting a new CPU?

Have you tried checking the health of your hard drive? Tools like CrystalDiskInfo can give you a good idea of its status. Sometimes storage issues can cause performance drops that feel like CPU problems. Just a thought! Let me know if you find anything weird with it.
It might be worth doing a clean install of Windows 11—version 24H2. If that doesn’t fix it, there’s a chance that your CPU could be failing. Intel CPUs aren’t the most robust and can fail between 1 to 5 years. If you're considering a replacement, maybe look into getting a 12th Gen model or even switch to AMD for better reliability.
I hear you, but I've already reinstalled Windows twice using a USB with a full clean, so I really doubt it's a Windows-related issue. I'm starting to think it could be something more hardware-related.
