I've been dealing with a frustrating problem for over a year now. My PC unexpectedly restarts while I'm gaming, and it's happened with various games like Schedule 1, Marvel Rivals, and CS2. The strange thing is, my PC stays cool with all temperatures below 60°C. Here are my specs:
- RTX 4070 Ti
- i7 14700KF
- 32GB (2x16GB) RAM
If anyone has any suggestions or insights on what might be causing this, I would really appreciate your help!

It sounds like your power supply unit (PSU) might be the culprit. Are you experiencing blue screens, or does it just restart out of the blue?
It could definitely be a PSU issue, or it might be related to common problems with Intel's 14th gen processors. I had a similar experience and switched from the i9-14900KF to AMD. But if you're looking to troubleshoot first, I really suspect the power supply might be to blame.
I have a Corsair RM850e PSU. Is that a good choice?
First thing to try is using DDU to reinstall your GPU drivers. Just look up how to use it, and don’t forget to update your chipset drivers too. After that, resetting your shader cache and deleting your DirectX cache in disk management could help. Nvidia's shaders might get cleared up when you reinstall the drivers. If the problem persists, your CPU might be having stability issues since those chips can be a bit tricky. You could also consider swapping out your GPU; I had a similar issue where my games restarted due to a faulty graphics card.
Thanks for the tips! Fingers crossed it’s not the GPU causing the issue!
It just restarts without warning, and it's an instant action—all over in a couple of seconds.
