I recently built my first PC and ran into a frustrating issue. When I power it on, the fans and RGB lights are working, but my keyboard isn't powered up, and my monitor is showing "No Signal". I have a Z790-Plus Wifi motherboard, an MWE GOLD 850 V2 Full Modular PSU, an ASUS GEFORCE RTX 3050, and an Intel Core i5-12600K processor.
Here are some specifics: The PSU has two 8-pin ATX cables and one 24-pin cable. The 24-pin connection is plugged in as two parts (18-pin and 10-pin). However, my built-in USB ports aren't working for power either; I even tried plugging in an RGB keyboard, but nothing happened.
I have my LG monitor connected to the HDMI port on the GPU, and while the GPU fans spin when powered on, the monitor still says "No Signal". I've even tried moving the GPU to different slots, but that hasn't made a difference. I'm worried I might be overlooking something simple. Any guidance would be appreciated!

Hey! First off, congrats on your first build! It sounds like the power cables might not be connected properly. Make sure that the 8-pin CPU cable is plugged into the top-left corner of your motherboard, not the PCIe ones. They fit but won’t power the CPU. If your motherboard has two connectors for this, plug both in if your PSU allows it. It's a common mistake, and if this isn’t connected right, it might keep your system from booting up properly. Let me know how it goes!

Thanks for the tip! I double-checked, and it turns out I did plug in the right CPU cables, which are indeed the single 8-pin type, not the PCIe. Everything seems secure, but I'm still getting no display.
