My PC Randomly Shuts Down While Gaming – Any Ideas?

Hi everyone! I'm really frustrated with a problem I'm experiencing. Before I traveled for 14 days, my PC was working perfectly. Now, when I game, it just shuts down completely without any warning—no blue screen, no error messages, nothing. It feels like someone just pulled the plug! This happens after a few hours of gameplay and it occurs in every game I try. I've checked the temps and they seem fine. The weirdest part? I had a similar issue before and fixed it by replacing the power supply, so I recently upgraded to a new 850W power supply. But just a few months later, the shutdowns started happening again. Here are my specs:

- GPU: RX 7900 XT
- CPU: Ryzen 5 7600X
- RAM: 32GB @ 4800MHz
- PSU: 850W (brand new)
- Power: Connected to a 1600VA UPS

Now I'm wondering if it could be the UPS, something got damaged during my trip, a power delivery issue, or maybe the motherboard or GPU? If anyone has any insights or tips on what to check next, I would really appreciate it! I've run out of ideas. Thanks!

What's the brand and model of your PSU? Remember that wattage isn't the only thing that matters. Have you thought about plugging your PC directly into the wall instead of using the UPS? That could help rule out the UPS as a potential issue.

I'll give it a try. My PSU is a FSP Hydro.

I had a similar issue that started around 20 days ago too! It turned out that one of my RAM sticks was faulty. I removed one, and the problems stopped; then I tried the other one and it started shutting down again. Might be worth checking your RAM sticks!

Wait, so you were gaming and it would just shut off like mine? That's interesting!
