I'm in a bit of a bind here. My computer has shut off unexpectedly two times in a row without showing any blue screen or error message, and now it's done it again. I don't have a UPS yet, so it's directly plugged into the wall socket. I'm struggling to identify which part might be failing before I take it to a shop. Here are my specs:
- Motherboard: MSI B550M Pro VDH WiFi
- GPU: MSI GeForce RTX 3050
- CPU: Ryzen 7 5800X with stock cooler
- RAM: Fury 2x8GB
- PSU: XCT600 80 Plus Cogar
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, and have a great day!

Sounds like your PSU might be the culprit if the PC isn't booting at all after shutting down. Sometimes they fail due to electrical issues. I’d suggest checking if it's still delivering power or trying another PSU if you have one accessibly. You can also do a paperclip test to see if it powers up on its own, but be careful with that if you’re not familiar with it. Good luck!
First, when you try to turn it on, do you see anything on the screen? Like does it light up or try to load BIOS? Knowing what happens can help narrow it down. If nothing happens at all, it could be a dead power supply or motherboard.
Have you tried checking for any dump files in Windows? If you can get to Safe Mode, go to C:WindowsMinidump to see if any files are there. They can help you figure out what went wrong before it shutdown. There’s a program called Blue Screen View that can make sense of those files for you. It might give you a clue about the issue.
