My PC Won’t Power On—Is My CPU Bad?

I recently built a new PC and when I try to power it on, nothing appears on my monitor. There's a yellow light under the DRAM indicator on the motherboard. I've removed the RAM and even tried using RAM from a different PC that works fine. Is there a chance that my CPU might be faulty? Here are my specs: AMD 9700X processor with a Strix X870-A Gaming WiFi motherboard, running DDR5 6400MHz Corsair Vengeance 2x16GB memory.

Have you waited at least 15 minutes for memory training? Sometimes the system needs a bit of time to recognize new hardware.

Yes, I waited the full time, but still no luck.

Make sure the RAM is installed in the correct slots. Typically, it's slots 2 and 4 for a four-slot motherboard. Also, how many sticks are you using? Is it DDR5 or DDR4?

I'm using two sticks of DDR5 6400MHz. I tried putting them in slots 1 and 3, as well as 2 and 4, but nothing worked.

What's the full setup? Have you had a chance to update the BIOS on your motherboard? If it has a BIOS flashback button, that might help.

Yeah, I tried flashing the BIOS but the problem persists.

Did you connect the CPU power cable to the top left of the motherboard? Sometimes that's easy to overlook. Check that and see if it makes a difference.
