Is it worth spending more on lower latency RAM for my setup?

I'm currently in the market for a 64GB RAM kit to use with my 9950x3d processor. The options I have available are the Crucial Pro 2x32 6000MHz with CL40 for €250, and the T-Create 2x32 6000MHz with CL34 for €330. I'd like to know if the extra €80 for the lower latency is worth it. My primary use cases are working in Unreal Engine 5 and Blender. Thanks for any advice!

I'd suggest saving that €80. Most users won't notice a significant performance boost for general tasks, so it might not be worth the extra cash for the lower latency.

It really depends on how you value that €80. If you're planning to keep the system for a while, then that investment might pay off in the long run. CL40 is considered lower grade RAM, and while you'll notice a slight increase in speed with CL34, if you love squeezing every bit of performance out, it might be worth it. Plus, you might find the CL34 kit easier to sell later on.

That makes sense! I'm also considering another option: the T-Create 96GB (2x48) 6400MHz with CL32 for €460. Would that be significantly faster or just give me more capacity?

If you can stretch your budget, the CL32 would offer both higher speed and increased capacity, which could definitely improve performance in heavy tasks. Just keep in mind the overall specs and compatibility.
