My PC Won’t Start After Moving – What Should I Check?

I recently moved and had to transport my PC. I wrapped it in a towel and held it in my arms during the car ride. Once I got home, I tried to power it on, but nothing happened. I've opened it up and checked the cables and ports. I even tried turning it on with a screwdriver, but the only lights that come on are from the GPU and motherboard. What should I do next?

It sounds like something might have come loose during the move. I’d recommend checking all the power connections to make sure everything is secure.

I’ve already checked those, especially around the motherboard.

Just double-check that your monitor is plugged into the GPU and not the motherboard. Sometimes it’s the little things that trip us up!

I've got it connected to the GPU. The motherboard is pretty old and doesn't even have HDMI.

You should try re-seating all components like the GPU, CPU, and RAM, as well as all the power connectors. It’s worth a shot! If that doesn't work, you might need to take it to a service center.

Yeah, I think that’s a solid plan. If that doesn’t do it, I’ll consider getting some professional help.
