Hey everyone, I'm having a problem with my PC and I'm really clueless about this stuff. It just won't turn on, and I'm not sure what might be wrong. I got the PC for free, and I'm hesitant to take it to a repair shop because the costs can be really high. Can someone please help me understand what might be causing the issue in simple terms? Also, if you know of any affordable and trustworthy repair places in Southern California, I'd appreciate the recommendations!

First things first, is it a desktop or a laptop? Sometimes the power supply issues can cause a desktop not to turn on. If it's a desktop, make sure it's plugged in correctly and the power switch at the back is on! If it's a laptop, check if it's charged and try holding down the power button for about 10 seconds before trying again.

If it's a desktop, make sure the monitor is working too. Sometimes the monitor might be the issue, and not the PC itself. Also, take a look at the power cables and connections inside the case if you feel comfortable; they might have come loose.
