I have a Samsung S21 and noticed a red x icon on my phone after restarting it a few days ago. Since then, I can't make calls or use data at all. I've tried resetting the network settings, but that didn't help. Plus, accessing the SIM manager or phone settings crashes the settings app. Is this a software issue with my device or could there be a problem with the SIM reader?

Are you using a physical SIM or an eSIM? That can make a difference in troubleshooting.
If you're using a physical SIM, try removing the SIM card and putting it back in. If it's an eSIM, you'll likely need to contact your provider for help. Since the settings app crashes, running a Samsung diagnostic might help if it works without crashing. Just be careful with that settings issue!

I did the diagnostic and it said everything is fine. Reseating the SIM didn't help either.
