I recently upgraded from a GTX 1070 to an ASUS 2OC RTX 5070. The card is installed correctly on the motherboard and I've connected the power cable that came with the 1070 to the Y adapter provided with the 5070. However, there's a red light above the connection point that stays lit even when the PC is turned on, and I noticed that the GPU fans aren't spinning at all. It seems like the card isn't getting enough power or the cables aren't connected properly.
I have a solid EVGA 850W power supply, which should be sufficient for this setup. The Y adapter has two connectors for power cables from the PSU, but my PSU only has one slot for GPU power cables. Should I connect an additional power cable to the second slot on the Y adapter? By the way, while installing the 5070, I dropped the tempered glass panel, which shattered everywhere, but I cleaned it all up without touching the components. I checked the GPU and didn't find any glass shards or visible damage. I plan to buy a new case to ensure it's all safe moving forward. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Oh, and just to add, my monitor isn't displaying anything, which is leading me to believe the GPU isn't functioning either.

It sounds like you need to connect two separate power cables from your PSU to the Y splitter. Each port on the GPU should have its own cable connected to ensure proper power delivery. The red light you mentioned usually means that power isn't connected correctly, so make sure everything is plugged in securely!
So just to clarify, two different cables from the PSU to the Y splitter, right? Got it!
