Hey everyone! I recently got my sister's old Samsung Galaxy A7 Lite tablet, and I'm running into a strange issue. After charging it fully, it shuts down when the battery shows between 70% and 90%. When I try to plug it back in, it reads 0%. My sister mentioned that the battery drains quickly, but I didn't expect this. I switched out the cracked screen with a new original, and I'm wondering if that might have affected the battery. I tried resetting it, but the problem persists. Any ideas?

I had a similar experience with an old phone. The battery would show 67% and then shut down out of nowhere. Once I understood battery health, I knew it was time for a change. I learned to keep my new devices charged properly to avoid the same issue.
Yeah, it definitely seems like the battery needs replacement. The symptoms you're describing fit the common issues with aging batteries, where they just can't deliver power reliably.
Your battery might have high internal resistance, which can lead to it showing a decent charge until you put a load on it. When stressed, the voltage drops incredibly, causing the device to shut down suddenly. Best bet is to replace the battery.
Got it, I see what you're saying. I'll definitely go for a replacement. Appreciate your help!
It sounds like you might be dealing with a dead or dying battery. Those shutdowns at 70%-90% could mean the battery's internal cells are worn out and can't hold a charge under load, even if they appear fine when idle.
I was hoping I wouldn't have to replace the battery! Thanks for your insight!
In simple terms, your battery is made up of multiple cells. If one cell dies, it can mislead the device about its charge. You should replace the battery to fix this issue, and it shouldn't be related to your screen replacement unless there was some damage during the process.
Wow, that's a really clear explanation! I'll take your advice and replace the battery. Thank you!

I guess replacing it is the best option. Thank you for the advice!
