My Windows 11 Laptop Is Full, But I Can’t Find What’s Using All the Space

I've got a Windows 11 laptop that has run out of storage, but I'm completely stumped about what's consuming it all. I checked the storage in the settings, and it says the bulk of my space is taken up by installed apps. I uninstalled a couple of the largest ones, including one that claimed to be nearly 80 GB, but I only recovered about 10 GB after the uninstall. Now, it still shows most of my space being occupied by installed apps, yet the biggest one is only 2 GB, and I don't really have that many apps installed. I'm baffled because I don't have significant files on my laptop, and it feels like the disk, which has nearly a terabyte of space, is filled with files that aren't even there. What should I do?

You should consider running BleachBit too. It removes temporary files, cookies, and other junk that can accumulate and take up a lot of space over time.

You might want to give Windirstat a try. It's a neat tool that scans your drive and visually displays what’s taking up your space. It’s super helpful for sorting out storage issues. Good luck!

I've used Windirstat many times, and it really helps! Definitely recommend it!

Have you thought about using WizTree instead? It’s much faster than Windirstat when it comes to scanning your drive. You might find it more efficient for freeing up space.
