Mystery Invoice from Microsoft: Anyone Else Experienced This?

I recently received a tiny invoice (less than £1) from Microsoft, but it came with very little explanation. It's concerning because this invoice was issued by a US company while we are based in the UK and only store our data within the UK and EU. The subscription related to this invoice isn't showing up in our portal. I'm curious if anyone else has encountered something similar and how they resolved it. Additionally, I'm worried about potential data leaks since I believed our tenancies were completely separate. The invoice references Teams Calling US, but our subscriptions only include services for the UK and Canada as our users are on Business Premium.

It might be related to a new service that was activated or if you exceeded any usage limits like storage or licenses. I'd suggest checking the Microsoft 365 Admin Center under Billing to see if anything was recently added or changed automatically.

Microsoft confirmed it was from a US company, not anything we used.

That sounds pretty odd! Have you checked 'All Billing Subscriptions' in Azure? You should be able to see more details about the subscription there. It might just be a trial that someone activated, which is causing the charge, even if it’s just for an amount that small.

I checked again, and it's still not showing up – not even as deactivated.
