I'm in search of a decent budget chair that can hold me over for a year until I can invest in a quality one. I'm 6 feet tall and weigh 190 pounds, so I want something comfortable for extended gaming sessions at my desk. I've been looking at two options on Amazon, but I'm open to other suggestions as my current office chair isn't cutting it after about half an hour. My budget is capped at $280. Any thoughts?

The second option you posted looks pretty comfy! I think it would work well for your gaming needs.
I got the IKEA Millberget as a temporary solution, and it’s been surprisingly great! Very comfortable, supportive, and it’s held up really well over time. It’s currently around $100, which is a good price for what you get!
Everyone has different preferences when it comes to comfort. I found a $50 chair from Costco that's been perfect for me! I recommend going to a store and trying out a few chairs to see what you like best.
You might want to check out the IKEA Markus. It's a solid chair and gets good reviews for comfort and support.
If you’re planning on upgrading to an expensive chair later, I suggest looking at Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace. Spending $300 on something temporary seems wasteful. Make sure to try some chairs in-store first to find your fit!
