Hey everyone! I'm in a bit of a rush to find a decent laptop and I just can't seem to locate anything good in my area today. My budget is around $2000, and I was initially looking for a ThinkPad, but they're all out of stock at the moment. I stumbled across the Acer SF16-51-94KH, and it seems to have a solid deal with an ultra 9 CPU, which I haven't seen in that price range before. I'm curious if anyone has experience with this laptop, especially regarding running Linux on it. Is it a good choice? Any feedback or tips would be really appreciated!

If you’re considering Linux, I heard there are brands that sell custom laptops pre-installed with Manjaro in Europe. Also, the Toshiba Satellite series might be worth checking out!

What do you need the laptop for? Personally, I don't rush high-end purchases, especially if they're over $1500. New models can have some bugs or compatibility issues to sort out. Have you thought about getting a used laptop? Linux can run pretty well on older models if they have enough RAM. Just a thought—maybe give Google a shot with something like 'SF16-51-94KH acer swift linux support' to gather more info.

If I had a $2000 budget, I'd be hesitant about going for an Acer. Just a heads up!
