Hey everyone! I'm gearing up to build my first gaming PC and would love some advice. My budget is around $1900, and I want to create a setup that should last a good while without needing significant upgrades. Here's what I'm looking at:

- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9700X for about $336
- CPU Cooler: Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 EVO at around $60
- Motherboard: I'm torn between the MSI MAG B850 Tomahawk MAX WIFI for $265 or the MSI MAG X870E Tomahawk WIFI for $300.
- RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 for about $160
- SSD: Western Digital WD_BLACK SN7100 1 TB M.2 NVME around $95
- GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 (12 GB), either the Zotac GAMING SOLID OC or PNY EPIC-X RGB OC for roughly $660
- Power Supply: Corsair RM850e (2025) fully modular at $113
- Case: Either the MSI MAG FORGE 320R AIRFLOW ATX for $110 or the Corsair Frame 4000D RS ARGB ATX for $140.

Total cost is estimated to be between $1800 and $1865. I'll be using an Acer Nitro XV272U F3bmiiprx monitor that I already have, which supports 2560x1440 at 300Hz. I appreciate any input, especially on which options I should prefer for the motherboard, GPU, and case, or any changes you'd recommend while staying under budget!

Hey! Your build looks solid for gaming at 1440p. I'd recommend going with the MSI MAG B850 Tomahawk MAX for the motherboard; it gives you good features for the price. As for the GPU, if you can get a deal on the Nvidia options, that's the way to go, but that 9070 XT might give you similar performance at a lower price. Just keep an eye on power requirements!

Totally agree with going for the better GPU! At 1440p, more CUDA cores can really make a difference. But check benchmarks to see which performs better in the games you enjoy.
