My son recently had a major issue with his GPU where the drivers hard crashed, and I had to use DDU to reinstall them. I'm now considering either getting a new case or simply upgrading the fans to improve cooling in his setup. Currently, he's using a Deepcool CC560 Mid Tower Case, and I've noticed that his GPU resting temperatures hover around 50-56°C. I'm not sure what they were during the crash, but I've asked him to keep an eye on them while gaming. Any suggestions on which direction I should go? Would a new case really help?

I wouldn't be too quick to blame heat for the crashes. I have the same GPU and experienced similar issues due to software settings. Make sure you check the settings in the Adrenalin software for your GPU; sometimes it defaults to clock speeds that are too high for stability. I usually set mine to 2300 MHz and haven't had any crashes since. Just a tip: verify that the settings stick when you start games, as they can reset back to the default.
It seems a bit strange that you're thinking about a new case just because of a GPU driver issue. It's important to actually check what the maximum temperatures are under load before jumping to conclusions about the cooling setup. Have you tried increasing the fan speeds or removing the side panel to improve air circulation? That might give you a better idea of whether the cooling is the problem.
I totally understand, and it was really warm last night, which could have led to the crash. I spent a couple of hours fixing things, and I definitely noticed that the GPU temps are higher than I’d like at rest. Sorry for the confusion; I haven’t had my coffee yet this morning! Also, the case airflow seems a bit lacking, which is why I’m looking into options.
That’s a great point! When I was fixing the drivers, Adrenalin wouldn’t load properly, which was tough. I have a Sapphire Pure 7900 GRE, and while I’ve had crashes too, none were as severe. I’ll definitely adjust the clock speeds and see if that helps!
