I'm really excited but a bit nervous about my first PC build! I've done a lot of research to find the best choices and check compatibility, but I'm not entirely sure if I've balanced the components well or if I might be overspending on items that aren't necessary. Here's the list of components I've picked out so far:

1. CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 4.2 GHz 8-Core Processor for €347.00
2. CPU Cooler: be quiet! Dark Rock 5 for €68.88
3. Motherboard: MSI MAG B850 TOMAHAWK MAX WIFI for €238.04
4. Memory: Crucial Pro 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6400 for €98.99
5. Storage: Western Digital WD_Black SN850X 2 TB NVME SSD for €142.99
6. Video Card: Sapphire PULSE Radeon RX 9070 XT 16 GB for €688.01
7. Case: Fractal Design North XL for €164.59
8. Power Supply: be quiet! Pure Power 13 M 850 W for €122.89
9. Case Fans: be quiet! Silent Wings 4 for €21.79 each (x3)

Total: about €1933.67.

I'm also considering switching to the XFX Swift Radeon RX 9070 XT GPU, as it's currently about €629, which would save me roughly €60. Would love to hear your thoughts on this build and if you think there's any component I could switch out for something better or more cost-effective!

I think you’re on the right track, but you might want to consider switching to a Samsung 990 Pro SSD since it's not much more expensive than the WD drive you picked. The WD model doesn’t have a DRAM cache, which could slow it down in some situations. Also, for the Ryzen 7000 series, look for DDR5-6000 CL30 RAM to ensure compatibility. As for the cooler, many users are happy with the Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE, which is generally cheaper than your current choice. Just a thought!

Thanks for the tips! I didn’t realize the WD drive had those limitations. I’ll definitely check the RAM compatibility too. I also appreciate the suggestion for the cooler!
