Need Help Boosting My Computer’s FPS

I've been struggling with a persistent issue on my computer where it just isn't delivering the frames per second (FPS) that it should. I've attempted nearly every troubleshooting step, from basic fixes to more advanced methods, but nothing seems to help. I've also consulted GPT and other forums without finding a solution. There are no overheating concerns when I run tests like Timspy and OCCT. Here are the specs of my system: Intel i5-12400F processor, Asus Dual RTX 4060 8 GB OC graphics card, 16 GB of 3200 MHz RAM (in a single stick), a 512 GB M.2 NVMe SSD, an Asus Prime H610M-K D4 motherboard, and a 750W FPS Hyper PSU. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Make sure you're also checking your benchmarks with proper tools like 3DMark Timespy for GPU performance and Cinebench for the CPU. Compare your results with reliable reviews—not just random YouTube videos. Trust me, it'll give you a much clearer picture of what's going wrong.

That's solid advice! Reviewing those benchmarks can highlight areas needing improvement.

Definitely check your benchmarks. It'll help pinpoint whether it's a hardware or configuration issue.

Start with some simple benchmarks like 3DMark Timespy. See where your numbers stand, then jump into a game and tell us your settings and resolution to get more context on the FPS issue.

You're running your RAM at half speed with just one stick, and that's not doing you any favors. Get a second stick!

Exactly! Dual-channel will double your bandwidth and likely lead to better performance across the board.

Honestly, it really just boils down to that one RAM stick. You need dual-channel RAM for optimal performance, and adding another 16GB stick should help with your FPS significantly.

It sounds like the main issue could be with your RAM setup. Running only one stick isn't ideal for performance; you really want to use two sticks to enable dual-channel mode. This could be causing a significant drop in your FPS. Pick up a matching stick of RAM, enable XMP in your BIOS, and then re-evaluate your performance.

Yeah, I totally agree! Dual-channel RAM can really make a difference. It's worth the small investment for a noticeable boost.

For sure. Your RAM running in single-channel mode is likely holding you back.
