I'm trying to upgrade my PC because it's starting to slow down and can't handle the bigger games I'm interested in. I don't want to spend money on a pre-built system, so I'm using PC Part Picker to select components after doing some research. My budget is decent but not too high. Could I get some feedback or suggestions to improve my build?
Here's what I'm considering:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 4.2 GHz 8-Core Processor - $359.97
- CPU Cooler: Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE - $34.90
- Motherboard: Asus PRIME B650-PLUS WIFI ATX - $129.99
- Memory: Corsair Vengeance RGB 32 GB DDR5-6000 - $94.99
- Storage: Crucial P3 Plus 1 TB NVME SSD - $56.99
- Video Card: MSI VENTUS 2X PLUS OC GeForce RTX 5060 Ti - $536.10
- Case: Phanteks XT PRO ATX Mid Tower - $85.49
- Power Supply: MSI MAG A750GL PCIE5 750 W - $99.97
Total: $1398.40

Why did you opt for the 7800X3D? Just curious! Most high-end games are more GPU-dependent, and I've noticed some people pair powerful CPUs with lower-end GPUs. If you’re willing to reconsider, consider the 9700X or 7700X and you could invest the savings into a 5070, which would outperform the 5060 Ti with the 7800X3D unless you’re mainly into CPU-heavy games like Sims or Civ.
I appreciate the feedback! Just started looking into parts and I clearly have a lot to learn. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll check those out.
