Hey everyone! I'm brand new to building PCs, but my brother gifted me a GeForce 2080, which is awesome. The catch is, I need some guidance on how to put together the rest of the system. My budget is tight - I'm looking at around $600 since I already have the graphics card and I'm not trying to max it out with high-end components. Any advice on what CPU, case, and power supply I should get would be really appreciated!

If you're looking to save some cash, maybe consider used parts for things like the case or even the CPU. Just ensure they are in good condition. Also, don’t forget to factor in RAM – 16GB should be your target for smoother performance.
First off, congrats on the GPU! For your budget, I recommend looking for a Ryzen 5 CPU, like the 3600, since it pairs well with the 2080. It's a solid choice for gaming without breaking the bank. Also, consider getting a budget-friendly case that has good airflow, like a mid-tower. For the power supply, a 650W from a reliable brand should suffice.
Definitely agree with the Ryzen 5 suggestion! You might also want to check out some budget-friendly B450 motherboards to go along with it. Just make sure it’s compatible with the CPU!

Thanks for the tip! I’ll definitely keep my eyes peeled for used parts. Should I look for specific brands or just go for what’s available?
