Help! My Lenovo Ideapad Won’t Boot After Installing Linux Mint

I recently installed Linux Mint on my Lenovo Ideapad, but now I can't get it to boot properly. I initially had trouble booting from USB, but I finally got it to work using Rufus. The installation test ran smoothly, but after I removed the USB stick and restarted, I was stuck in a boot loop with the Lenovo splash screen and a "reset system" message flashing repeatedly. After doing some research, I enabled UEFI booting in the BIOS, but now I'm stuck on a loop with a message saying "Boot System". Additionally, I can't seem to power off my laptop by holding the power button. I'm not very tech-savvy, so any help would be greatly appreciated!

Have you tried turning off Secure Boot in the BIOS? That could be a common issue causing this kind of boot loop. Make sure to save the changes before exiting.

I disabled Secure Boot, but it's still the same problem. I even tried reinstalling from the USB, and nothing changed.

What specific model of Ideapad do you have? Knowing the model can help others give you better advice since boot issues can vary by device.

It's an Ideapad One 11 IGL05.

Is your laptop equipped with an eMMC drive? If that's the case, you might need to manually partition the drive for the Mint installation to work properly. That's something that often trips people up!
