Hey everyone! I'm transitioning from console gaming to PC and I'm looking for some guidance. Currently, I'm using a Dell Precision T5810 with the following specs:
- Radeon RX Vega 56 (8GB)
- 32GB DDR4 RAM (2133MHz)
- Intel Xeon E5-1620 v3
I'm aware that prices are pretty high right now, so I want to hold off on building a full gaming rig until later. In the meantime, is there a GPU I can get that will let me play at 1440p without needing to change anything else? My max budget is €300 since it's just a temporary solution until I build something proper. The only game I play is The Hunter: Call of the Wild, if that helps. Thanks a bunch!

Honestly, I'd steer clear of the Vega if you can. Your system's pretty aged, but you could consider getting a 3060 12GB if you need RTX features. If you're not worried about ray tracing, the 6700XT or 6750XT could be solid choices, usually around €220 on eBay in Germany. Just double-check your power supply to make sure it has enough wattage and the necessary connectors, especially since Dell systems can sometimes have limited options. But keep in mind, your CPU may hold you back regardless of the GPU you pick.
I get where you're coming from! The game isn't extremely demanding, but sounds like your drivers might be lagging too, especially since the Vega doesn’t get updates anymore. If your system's running hot at 85C, that’s not ideal. RTX features are cool if you're into ray tracing, but if you just want to play the game well, the GTX options should do the trick. Did you check your power supply? The Vega uses dual 8-pin connectors, but options like the 6700XT typically require just one 8-pin connector, which should help. Also, those brand differences are due to the manufacturers, like Asus or MSI, making their custom versions of the GPUs.
