Hey everyone! I've built my first PC back in July 2020, and it's finally time for an upgrade since my current setup struggles to run Oblivion Remastered, barely hitting 40 fps on low settings. I've got a [PCPartPicker list](https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/coinstorm_/saved/pVGZJx) showing my current components. I'm considering a few used GPUs: an RTX 4070 Super for around £500, a 3080 Ti at about £420, or an RX 7800 XT for roughly £430. I'm looking to pair this with a Ryzen 7 5700X, as suggested by friends, and I want to stay around £600 total—maybe stretch it a bit more if needed. I mostly play less demanding games but occasionally dive into AAA titles at 1440p, aiming for at least 65-70 fps with high visual settings.

In terms of performance, the hierarchy goes like this: 4070 Super > 3080 Ti > 7800 XT, especially for rasterization. Plus, the 4070 Super has superior ray tracing performance and will be better with DLSS 4. By the way, the upcoming 5070 is only slightly pricier than the 4070 Super and offers around a 5% performance boost, so you might want to keep an eye on that as well.
I've got the same combination—7800 XT with the 5700X—and I love it! It handles 60-70 fps on high settings at 1440p really well, plus it streams nicely for competitive games at 155hz. But honestly, if you're considering the 4070 Super, I'd say go for it. It has the edge with ray tracing and DLSS, which is great for future-proofing your setup. The 7800 XT is solid, but the NVIDIA card has that advantage with upscaling and better overall performance in newer games.
