Need Help Choosing RAM for My New Gaming Build

Hey everyone! I'm wrapping up a 1080p gaming build, but I'm facing a bit of a challenge with RAM pricing lately. I've purchased all the other components, and here's my setup: an AMD Ryzen 5 9600X CPU, MSI RTX 5060 Ventus 2X OC GPU, ASUS TUF GAMING B650-PLUS WIFI motherboard, an ARCTIC Freezer 36 cooler, NZXT H6 Flow case, MSI MAG A850GL PSU, and a WD Black SN7100 SSD.

The issue is that DDR5 prices have skyrocketed. The high-end CL30 and CL32 kits are out of stock or priced way above $300. I found a couple of Intel XMP kits that fit my budget:
1. Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB 5600MHz CL36 for €191 (pros: premium build and looks; cons: quite tall, might have clearance issues with the cooler).
2. Corsair Vengeance RGB 6000MHz CL40 for €178 (pros: lower profile; cons: higher latency).

I'm wondering two things:
1. For 1080p gaming, how much of a performance impact will I see from CL40 versus CL30/36? Can the 6000MHz speed make up for the looser timings?
2. How reliable is Intel XMP memory on the AM5 platform these days? Should I keep searching for an AMD EXPO kit instead?
3. Given my case and cooler setup, are the Dominator RAM sticks too tall? I appreciate any advice from those who've worked with high-latency DDR5 on Ryzen 9000 or anyone who has navigated this crazy RAM market in 2026! Thanks!

You shouldn't worry too much about the timing differences. While CL differences do matter, the impact on gaming performance is quite small, especially with the Ryzen 5 9600X. I've seen tests showing that CL40 isn't a dealbreaker for gaming purposes. You can check this video for comparison: https://youtu.be/rIiqutFJNB4. The Freezer 36 cooler you have shouldn’t interfere with the taller Dominator sticks either, as it's a single-tower cooler. They may actually benefit from being cooled a bit by the airflow from the cooler.

I recently found a Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR5 RAM kit, 32GB with 6200MHz and CL36. Is this a better option?
