I'm running Kubuntu 25.10 (Questing Quokka) on an AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 5650U CPU, and I'm having trouble with poor performance while playing a flash game called Anti-Idle: Reforged. I've tried using Ruffle, but it has bugs that prevent me from progressing, so that's not viable. Currently, I'm using the Adobe standalone flash player downloaded via Flatpak. I even attempted running a standalone executable with Wine, but the performance was even worse and temperatures rose. Interestingly, when the game window is out of focus, it runs perfectly at full FPS. I've set it to never take focus, but that's not ideal for keyboard input. I'm looking for solutions on two fronts: first, figuring out what's causing the slowdown when the game is in focus, and second, any methods to send keyboard inputs to unfocused windows. I'm also open to any other solutions, including dual booting a different non-Windows OS to play my flash games without hassle. Thanks for any help!

You mentioned Ruffle, did you report the bugs that are causing you issues? They might already be aware and working on it. If you haven't, definitely drop them a message. It's been working quite well for many users, and they could use your feedback to improve it!
Do you have a dedicated GPU? Sometimes relying solely on integrated graphics can lead to performance issues like what you're experiencing. Also, make sure your drivers are up to date; that can have a big impact on performance too!
I don’t have a GPU; just 24GB of RAM which I forgot to mention. Maybe that’s why I'm struggling?
Have you checked what `radeontop` reports for your Vega graphics? Sometimes, certain BIOS versions can mess with the graphics memory allocation on Linux. You might need to set it manually in your BIOS settings if that’s the case.

Yes, I reported the bugs a week ago. Fingers crossed they patch it soon because Ruffle usually runs smoothly for me, even on battery saver!
