Hey everyone! I'm looking for some guidance on creating a database for users who aren't tech-savvy. I have some experience with Microsoft Office, but I'm completely new to building databases. I want to create one that has a user-friendly customizable interface for my clients. Since I'm working on a tight budget, I need to develop a basic concept before seeking investment.
The database should be able to collect simple information, like names and dates of birth (I'll be using students as an example). It should also allow for grouping students into different classes and include a class timetable with reviews of those classes. Additionally, there should be an admin feature to set everything up. Hope that clarifies my situation a bit! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

It’s important to clarify whether you truly need a database. From what you describe, this could also just be a well-organized spreadsheet or something like Excel for now. But if you do need a serious database, a simple framework might do the trick.
It sounds like you might be overreaching a bit, considering you're not from a development background. Have you considered why you're the one creating this database? Maybe checking in with someone who has experience could be worthwhile!
I get your point! I'm actually working on this because I believe there's a market gap in my area. I’m doing it on a very limited budget and hope to have something tangible to show potential investors.
Have you thought about hiring someone to help you set this up? It sounds pretty complex for someone who's just starting out. But I can understand if you're trying to keep costs down.
Yeah, hiring someone is ideal, but I literally can’t afford it right now. That's why I'm trying to do this myself, just to get a working prototype.
I see what you're saying! However, I believe that I will need a proper database eventually. It’s not just for a school project; I’m looking to address a real need in the market.
