I have a bit of a tech mystery on my hands. My son, who is autistic, has a favorite app that he loves to use, but it's only on the older iPad that unfortunately has a really bad battery. I recently got my hands on a newer iPad, but I can't figure out how to get this app onto it. I've searched the App Store and can't find it at all. Interestingly, my Apple account works on both iPads and I can access the app on my phone too. I've made sure everything's updated, but I'm not sure where to go from here. I would really appreciate any insights or solutions!

If the app is no longer available in the App Store, you might want to try using a tool called iMazing. It allows you to extract the app from your old iPad and install it on the new one, assuming both devices are signed into the same Apple account. Just a backup plan if all else fails!
Have you checked the Purchased section in the App Store? Sometimes apps don’t show up in searches if they're not available anymore, but you might find it in your account's purchase history if you've downloaded it previously. Just a thought!
I looked there, but it doesn’t show up at all. It’s so frustrating!
That sounds like a good option! I didn't know that was possible.
