Need Help Upgrading My CPU and Motherboard

So, my PC has become quite a mishmash over the years, especially after my old graphics card died and I replaced it with a new one that's definitely better than the rest of my setup. You can check out my current build here: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/Vm9WpK. I've been meaning to upgrade my motherboard and processor, but I've been putting it off due to budget constraints. With Windows 10 reaching its end and my current processor not being compatible with Windows 11, I've decided it's time to act. I'm looking for recommendations for a new processor and motherboard that won't cost a fortune—something that would complement my NVIDIA Founders Edition GeForce RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB video card. I know they don't necessarily have to 'match,' but I'd prefer to do both upgrades together since I might need another upgrade down the line in a few years. I'm hoping to stay within a budget of around £250 GBP, possibly less. I could stretch my budget a bit if there's a compelling reason. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'd recommend going with a Ryzen 5 5600 along with a B550 motherboard. Just keep in mind that slower RAM can hold back your performance a bit. Also, if your old setup works fine, you might want to tough it out and install Windows 11 on it if possible, and save up for a more significant upgrade in the future!

Thanks, this is helpful! Right in budget too. I'll have a think about this one. Unfortunately, my old hardware is not compatible with Windows 11. But I suppose you're saying I should see what happens if I work around the compatibility checks?
