I'm reaching out for some guidance on upgrading the CPU in my pre-built gaming system. I mainly bought it for gaming, but I'm now diving into live streaming and have run into issues with dropped frames. I've already adjusted my OBS settings, but it seems my current i5 processor isn't cutting it. I'm considering upgrading to an i7. What would be the best choice for my setup, and what's the process for replacing the CPU? Honestly, your CPU isn't the main issue here. I think your GPU might be slowing you down, especially for streaming. Have you looked into that? Sometimes it's more about the graphics card not being able to keep up than the CPU itself.

That sounds plausible. I have similar upload speeds when I stream and don’t face the same problems. Maybe your graphics optimization settings in OBS need a second look?
