Need Help with BIOS Update for Upgrading My CPU

I finally took the plunge and bought a new CPU! My dad built the PC for me, and I'm looking to upgrade from a Ryzen 5 5500 to a Ryzen 7 5700X. My specs are as follows: Motherboard - A520M-HVS, Graphics Card - Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060, RAM - 40GB, M.2 - 1TB. Since the socket is compatible, I'm curious about which BIOS update I need to install. Any advice?

You actually don't need a new BIOS update just for the 5700X, since both the 5500 and 5700X share the same minimum BIOS version. If your current setup works fine with the 5500, you're all set. But if you still want to be safe, just go ahead and update to the latest version available!

Thanks for clarifying!

Just out of curiosity, do you have 5 RAM slots, each with 8GB to reach 40GB? That's not a common setup; I usually see 16GB, 32GB, or 64GB.

I actually have 2 slots. One has 16GB, and the other has 32GB!
