Need Help with ISO Verification for Linux Migration

Hey everyone! I'm trying to migrate to Linux on my old laptop, but I'm running into some issues. I followed a guide to download the ISO for Linux Mint Cinnamon, and when I tried to verify the torrent with 7zip, it said the file was corrupted. I even downloaded it again, but I'm facing the same problem. What should I do now? I don't remember the hardware specs, sorry!

Just a heads up, Cinnamon is actually a desktop environment, not a distro in itself. It’s part of Linux Mint. Don't be too hard on yourself—it's normal to mix things up when you're first starting out!

Oh, I see! I thought it was its own thing. Guess I need to brush up on my Linux terminology!

You might want to try downloading the ISO directly from the official Linux Mint website instead of using torrents. Sometimes torrents can be unreliable or corrupted. It could be worth a shot!

I did download it directly from the website after realizing the torrent was problematic. Still facing issues, though.

If you’re looking to get Linux Mint Cinnamon, I recommend checking out the official installation guide. Make sure you understand the basics, like what an .ISO file is, how to verify it, and how to create a bootable USB drive. Research is key when switching to Linux, especially if you’re used to Windows. Take your time to learn how to do these things properly!
