I've been having overheating problems with my custom PC for a while now. When it's idle, the temperatures are in the low 30s, but when I'm gaming, they shoot up to the mid 80s to mid 90s without any of my previous fixes working. My setup includes an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X CPU, a be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4 cooler, and a CORSAIR 4000D AIRFLOW case.
I initially thought airflow was the issue since my PC was under a shelf with limited breathing space. After moving it, I still encountered high temperatures, so I reapplied thermal paste a couple of times, but that didn't help either. The only way I can game without overheating is by completely removing the glass panel of my case and using a fan directed at the CPU. I clean my PC regularly and it hasn't been dusty.
I'm wondering if I need to get a new CPU cooler or if there are other issues I should be concerned about.

First off, what's your GPU? Understanding your setup fully can help pinpoint the issue. Also, what's your fan curve like? How many intake and exhaust fans do you have, and where are they positioned? Have you tried using the curve optimizer or enabling PBO? It's also important to check if the cooler's cold plate is properly clamped and that there's enough thermal paste on it.

My GPU is a GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 3070. Sorry I'm not great with fan curves, but I can share a pic if it helps. My PWM starts at 25% and goes to 100% at 65 degrees. I've got 1 intake and 1 exhaust; the intake is at the bottom and the exhaust at the top. PBO is on auto, and I think I put enough thermal paste during reapplications.
