We're currently juggling multiple tools for device management, Single Sign-On (SSO), and asset tracking, which is getting cumbersome as our company expands. The IT manager aims to unify everything since we're facing challenges like not reclaiming assets after employees leave and users retaining access to applications longer than necessary.

With around 478 employees across three regions and about 500-600 laptops plus phones and peripherals to manage, our IT team consists of just five people. We're looking for a solution that offers features like Mobile Device Management (MDM), asset management, and SSO within a single platform or one that integrates effortlessly with our current tools. We're considering options like Allwhere, Workwize, NinjaOne, and Kandji, but we're eager to hear what others are using and whether it has actually helped reduce their workload.

Microsoft tends to be a go-to choice for setups like yours, although they don't provide a robust asset management or Configuration Management Database (CMDB) solution. Another alternative could be Zoho or ManageEngine, as they cover a wide range of IT needs and tend to integrate nicely with various systems.

But without the SCEP proxy, right? That could be an issue.

If you're considering options, Intune and Kandji are solid choices. Just a heads up though; I’ve heard Workwize struggles with scaling up past a certain point, so make sure to keep that in mind.

You might also want to look into Harmony.io. They offer automated asset and software discovery along with a helpdesk feature that includes a chatbot for Slack, which could streamline things for your team.

Definitely check out Workwize! After struggling to coordinate multiple tools, we made the switch and haven’t looked back. It syncs effortlessly with Kandji, Okta, and various HR systems, managing the entire asset lifecycle from ordering to retrieval. This way, you avoid having to hunt down devices or updating spreadsheets manually. The setup was super quick, and it’s perfect for distributed teams wanting seamless IT and HR collaboration. Plus, I love the self-service portal; it allows employees to select devices based on their roles. We saved around 100k in the last 10 months alone!

This all seems a bit scripted to me, especially since there’s no mention of your existing tools. It reads like an ad for someone to promote their product.
