I recently delidded my i7-8700k using a delidding tool and applied liquid metal to the CPU die before reattaching the Integrated Heat Spreader (IHS). I held the IHS in place with the CPU bracket since I didn't use any adhesive. I thought everything went smoothly, but now my PC doesn't boot. The lights and fans turn on, but there's no post, no signal to my monitor, and no error codes from the motherboard speaker.
I've already tried reseating the RAM, the CMOS battery, the CPU, and the cooler. I've also tested using integrated graphics instead of my GPU and adjusted the CPU cooler's tightness. Could my CPU be damaged, or is it possibly an issue with the motherboard? I don't have spare CPUs or motherboards to test with. I was hoping to avoid upgrading for a little longer, but it might be time if the CPU is fried!

I noticed in your delid pictures that there seems to be a transistor on the right side. It could have been bridged or damaged during the delidding, which might be causing the boot failure. Double-check that area!
I’m not too familiar with the delidding procedure, but that could definitely be the root of your issue. Did you possibly damage something during the process? I mean, is this for real?
It sounds like the delidding process might have caused some damage, especially if everything was fine before. If you checked all the connections and it's still not booting, the CPU might be broken. Replacing it could be your best bet.
