Power Supply Not Working with Motherboard: What’s Wrong?

I've been having issues with my power supply unit (PSU). It runs fine when I do the paper clip test, but when I connect it to the motherboard, nothing happens. The PSU seems to work, but it just won't start when plugged in. Any ideas on what might be causing this?

Have you considered that there could be a short on the motherboard? Sometimes, the PSU doesn't activate if there's a short circuit. Make sure to inspect the motherboard for any damage or foreign objects.

It might be a connection issue. Double-check that all the cables are securely connected to the motherboard. Loose connections can prevent the PSU from powering up the system.
