I'm facing an issue with the M.2 slots on my MSI MPG X870I motherboard. I have three NVMe SSDs installed: a Samsung 970 in M2_1, a Samsung 990 in M2_2, and another Samsung 970 (which has my OS) in M2_3. The problem is that the SSD in M2_1 isn't showing up in the BIOS or in Windows when I first power on the system. However, it does get detected after rebooting. I've tested this with the Samsung 990 in M2_1 and the same issue occurs, while the Samsung 970 in M2_2 works just fine. I've tried updating the BIOS, switching the SSDs around, adjusting the settings in the BIOS from auto to gen4, and toggling between UEFI and legacy modes. Has anyone experienced something similar or have tips on how to fix this?

Has this setup worked for you in the past? It seems like it might be a hardware fault, possibly with the M.2 slot or the CPU's PCIe lanes.
Try using Samsung Magician to ensure all your drives have the latest firmware updates. It can sometimes help resolve detection issues.
This is definitely an unusual issue. It might be a compatibility problem rather than a faulty drive. Can you tell me which CPU you have? The M2_1 slot is directly connected to the CPU, while the others go through the chipset. Depending on your CPU model, it may have limitations on PCIe lane allocation that could lead to this issue.
