I recently assembled a new PC after not doing it for about six years, and I'm a bit out of touch with things. Initially, everything went smoothly once I booted it up with Windows and started installing the essentials like a different browser and Steam. I downloaded the Gigabyte app for my motherboard, which suggested various updates and drivers, and I decided to go ahead and install everything. There was an option for "mb bios" that seemed pretty straightforward, so I went ahead and installed that too. However, after it finished downloading and my PC restarted, I ended up with a black screen on boot. The monitor doesn't display anything regardless of what I try, not even the BIOS access instructions. While my case and CPU fan lights are off, the fans themselves are running, and the GPU lights are on. Everything looks fine visually, but I can't get anything on the screen. I'm aware it might have been foolish to update something I didn't fully understand, but it seemed clear-cut at the time. Does anyone know what could be wrong or how I can fix this? Also, I noticed that when I turn on the PC, my monitor briefly searches for input before the light switches from blue to orange, indicating it's going into sleep mode.

Check if your motherboard has a BIOS flash button. If it does, you could potentially restore the factory settings there. Also, try to see if you can access the BIOS on boot because if it does show the BIOS screen, you might be able to go in and fix the problem.
It sounds like you might have updated the BIOS but possibly interrupted it somehow, which could have led to your current situation. Have you tried doing a manual reboot? Sometimes just restarting manually can help get things back on track. If you remember the steps you took before updating, that could help troubleshoot further.
When you say remember, do you mean I should think back to the exact update I clicked? I only really pressed what was under that "mb bios" tab. I didn't force any shutdown or anything, as it told me it would restart after the update. Although, I did notice a red light on the motherboard indicating DRAM issues now, which doesn’t look good.

I need to check the BIOS flash button because I stepped away for a bit since I was getting frustrated. When I turn the computer on, I don’t see anything on the screen to access the BIOS; the monitor just goes from searching for input to sleep mode right away.
