Received a Scare Tactic Email from Myself – What Do I Do?

I recently got an email from my own secondary email account, which I typically use for non-sensitive stuff like random websites, streaming, and some gaming - not related to anything important. The email claims that I need to pay a crypto wallet to prevent the sender from releasing alleged videos and photos of me that they say they recorded with something called Pegasus. They also accused me of having perversions due to my choice of adult content, which honestly isn't anything out of the ordinary.

I've already changed the passwords for most accounts linked to that email and removed it from several platforms. The email threatens to release these supposed videos within 48 hours, describing the situation as akin to a 'tsunami' of exposure. However, there were no specific details about my personal life; they only mentioned WhatsApp and Telegram, neither of which I use. How do I handle this situation and get this stress out of my life?

This is definitely a scam. Just delete the email and move on with your life. You don't have anything to worry about.

What about my email account though? It’s not super important, but I might need it later.
