I'm looking to build a gaming PC that costs between $1000 and $1200. My goal is to have a system that can handle 1440p gaming at 60 fps or better on medium to high settings in most games. Besides gaming, I also plan to use it for coding and 3D modeling, as I'm just starting out in that area. I'm open to using second-hand hardware, and I won't need a monitor since I already have the other peripherals sorted out. Would appreciate any guidance on components!

Hey! I totally get where you’re coming from. I’m in a similar situation and I’m considering a GeForce 3080, which can be found for around $300 on eBay. For the CPU, I looked into the Intel i5 or i7 from the 12th generation, as they tend to be more affordable compared to AMD options. You might want to check out the Ryzen 7 7700x too. Both chipsets support DDR4 and DDR5, so you could upgrade in the future. Sounds like a solid upgrade path! Good luck!
For most games, you’ll be fine with medium settings, but if you’re targeting 2K resolution, you might have to make some tweaks for graphically intense games like Enshrouded. Just a heads-up, RAM prices can be steep, but it's worth waiting to buy 64GB in total. It’ll really help with the work you plan to do!
I agree! Holding out for RAM prices to settle down might be a wise move, especially if you’re aiming for high-performance tasks.

That's a pretty solid plan! Just be cautious with used hardware, always check the seller's reputation and warranty if available.
