I'm looking for help selecting an affordable GPU that can maintain a steady 144Hz at 1440p, specifically for games like Battlefield 6 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. Currently, I'm upgrading from an NVIDIA GeForce 3070 Founders Edition and using an Intel i5 10600. I have a memory kit of 32GB at 3200MHz, a 1TB SSD (Samsung 970), and an MSI Mag B660M Mortar motherboard. I'm not interested in 4K gaming at this time. Also, I'm open to upgrading my CPU if necessary. Any advice would be appreciated!

The RX 9700 is a solid choice for hitting around 144 fps in Battlefield 6, especially if you enable FSR and set everything to ultra. However, what kind of settings do you want to use?

I'm not very familiar with different settings yet, but I’m willing to upgrade other components if that would help.

Just a heads up, the CPU is a significant factor for Battlefield 6. My 9700 XT can hit around 180 fps with FSR, but my 5800X only manages about 120 fps without it.

To really maintain 144Hz in Battlefield 6, you might need to consider upgrading your CPU alongside the GPU. What CPU/GPU combo do you think would work best?

What about pairing a Ryzen 5 5600X with the RX 9700? That could give you a good balance!
