I'm on the hunt for a good, budget-friendly 4G modem, ideally under €40. Currently, I'm using a basic USB stick with a normal SIM card that I picked up for €9. While it's been working fine so far, it tends to lag and needs to be unplugged from power regularly. I'm with the Irish PAYG 48 network, which offers unlimited data—well, up to 500MB at full speed, which is plenty for my needs. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Honestly, it’s a little wild that your €9 USB stick is functioning at all, but if you want something that won’t require constant resets, check out mid-range 4G modems from Huawei or TP-Link on Amazon. They’re usually solid and can be found for under €40.

Do you think any models in the €20 range would work better? I saw one with a one-star rating on Amazon, but maybe I got lucky with mine.
